New Zealand School Holidays and Public Holidays 2021

New Year’s Day: Friday 1 January
Waitangi Day: Saturday 6 February or Monday 8 February
Easter: Friday 2 April to Monday 5 April
ANZAC Day: Sunday 25 April or Monday 26 April
Queen’s Birthday: Monday 7 June
Labour Day: Monday 25 October
Christmas Day: Saturday 25 December (Public holiday may fall on Monday 27 December)
Boxing Day: Sunday 26 December (Public holiday may fall on Tuesday 28 December)

Term 1 holidays: Saturday 17 April – Sunday 2 May
Term 2 holidays: Saturday 10 July – Sunday 25 July
Term 3 holidays: Saturday 2 October – Sunday 17 October
Term 4 holidays: Saturday 18 December – between Sunday 30 January and Tuesday 8 February 2022

NZ Regional Anniversary Days 2021

As well as the above national public holidays, there are also regional anniversary days to consider marking in your calendars and diaries. The regional anniversary days for 2021 are usually celebrated on the closest Monday or Friday, however are subject to change pending council decisions.
