The best time to visit Papeete

The best time to visit Papeete is between May and October. It's winter on the island, and you'll enjoy perfect island weather without the high humidity. The only downside to visiting Tahiti during this period is that it’s high season. Prices for hotels are high, and you'll need to book in advance to avoid disappointment. If you're okay with the occasional thunderstorm, plan your trip to Papeete during the summer months. From November to April, cheap flights from Auckland to Papeete are easier to find, but you’ll have to deal with high humidity and frequent rainfall.
