Departing from Gold Coast Airport

Getting to Gold Coast Airport

The cheapest way to get to the airport is with the public bus. Hop on board one of the Translink buses that run daily between the city and the Gold Coast Airport. Fares can be paid for onboard or with a bus and tram pass.

If you're travelling in a group or alone, you can use the Gold Coast Tourist shuttle bus to get to the airport. The service runs from Tweed Heads to Runaway Bay and will pick you up from your hotel.

Ride-sharing services and metered taxis are also available. A trip from Surfers Paradise to the airport usually costs AUD 30-60 depending on the traffic.

Parking at Gold Coast Airport

If you want to leave your car at the airport, you can choose from three different options:

Premium Covered Parking: If you don't want to waste any time getting from your car to the check-in counters, use this option. The car park is linked to the departures building with a private walkway, and if you book online, you can scoop up cheaper rates.

Short-Term Terminal Parking: If you're only visiting Newcastle for less than 8 hours, park your car here. If you stay here for longer, you'll be charged hourly, and the rates will be higher than the other parking options.

Budget Parking: This is the cheapest parking option at Gold Coast Airport. Choose from covered and uncovered parking spots and pay as little as AUD 16 per day.
