Getting to Christchurch International Airport

The journey from Christchurch CBD to the airport usually takes up to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. There are public transport travel options available on the purple line or route 29 buses. A one-way fare costs $8.50 NZD and tickets can be purchased from the bus driver. Return tickets are $15 NZD. If don’t want to take the bus, you can grab a taxi that can take you to CHC in about 15 minutes. Fares will vary with traffic and route, but you should expect to pay at least $45 NZD. The Super Shuttle is a ride-sharing bus that runs 24/7 from the CBD to CHC. Solo riders will pay $25 NZD one-way, but prices go down for larger groups of travellers - approximately $8 NZD for each additional passenger.

Parking location at Christchurch International Airport is determined by the length of time you plan to leave your car. Each area has 24/7 security monitoring and a walking distance to the terminals.

• Short Stay: Located on Dury Road, the Short Stay car park is the closest lot to the airport terminals and is ideal for those travelling to Brisbane on a quick trip. Once parked, you can expect a quick three-minute walk to the terminals. It has uncovered spaces and the daily maximum rate is $27 NZD. A weekly rate maximum is $189 NZD.
• Long Stay: With the entrance located on Orchard Road, the Long Stay lot is ideal for international trips. Parking here will put you within a five-minute walk to the terminals. Fees for the Long Stay park are $27 NZD per day and there is a maximum weekly fee of $135 NZD.
• Orchard Road Car Park: If a loved one is dropping you off or you have arranged for someone to pick up your car from the airport shortly after your flight, Orchard Road Car Park is the cheapest park option. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes and only $10 NZD for the first four hours. If you want to leave your car in Orchard Road Car Park longer, daily parking rates are $22 NZD or $154 NZD per week.
• Craddocks: Located on Ron Guthrey Road, the Craddocks car park has both covered and uncovered spaces available. For an added fee, you can also request detailing and maintenance on your car while you are away. While the Craddocks lot is furthest away from the terminals, your parking fee includes a transfer to the terminals on the on-demand shuttle service. The journey from Craddocks to the terminals averages at 15 minutes. Those just turning up to the Craddocks lot will pay $80 NZD for the first 24 hours and $12 NZD for every additional 24 hours. How to Get from Brisbane International to Your Brisbane Hotel or Accommodation

Brisbane Airport is located on the fringes of the Brisbane city limits; 17.4 kilometres away with an average travel time of 20 to 65 minutes, depending on traffic and your mode of transport.

The Skygate loop service is a free transfer bus within Brisbane airport. As well as ferrying travellers between the domestic and international terminals, Skygate buses also make trips to the AIRPARK, Skygate shopping centre, and the neighbouring DFO. Buy a ticket for travel on the Airtrain; this journey between the airport and Brisbane CBD takes just 20 minutes and trains run every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes in off-peak periods. Airtrain can also be used to travel to the Gold Coast. There are marked signs for the Airtrain station in both airport terminals. A one-way fare to Brisbane’s Central Station averages $18.50 AUD ($20 NZD) and there are discounts available for tickets purchased online. Virgin Australia passengers can use the Airtrain for free. Jump into a taxi or hail an Uber at one of the ranks and pay an average one-way fare of $45 to $55 AUD ($48 to $60 NZD) for travel into the city. Things To Do in Brisbane

As the capital of Queensland, Brisbane is teeming with culture, history, and contemporary attractions. Make sure to visit the Cultural Precinct, which is clustered around the South Bank area. The precinct is a haven for gallery-goers and artsy types, and is home to Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) as well as the State Library of Queensland and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
