For 13 weeks from 22 November 2018, direct flights from Auckland to Newcastle will provide quick and easy access to some of Australia’s best coast, country and city experiences. With a flight time of just over three hours you can leave Auckland at 5.10pm and have your toes in the sands of Port Stephens, walking along Newcastle’s ANZAC bridge or sipping on a world class Hunter Valley wine before the sun sets.
In around 20 minute drive east from Newcastle Airport you will find yourself in Port Stephens, a wonderful beach escape with a waterway twice the size of Sydney Harbour. Relax on one of the 26 stunning beaches, meet the resident bottlenose dolphins and savour delicious fresh local seafood. Here you’ll find the largest moving coastal sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere where you can indulge your adventurous side sandboarding or quad biking down 40 metre dunes.
The Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine region, is just a 45 minute drive inland from Newcastle Airport and is where you will discover incredibly delicious food and wine experiences and beautiful landscapes of rolling vineyards, mountain ranges and ancient rainforest. You’ll taste some of the best wines in the world at the cellar doors, including the distinguished Hunter Valley Semillon.
An easy 30 minute drive south of Newcastle Airport and you’re in the city of Newcastle - a spectacular melting pot of lifestyles, where the relaxed coastal life intertwines seamlessly with the lively city culture.
