Air New Zealand Airpoints is Air New Zealand’s frequent flyer program, with many rewards to redeem with the Airpoints Dollars you earn.

Airpoints membership is complimentary for Business Class travellers on international Air New Zealand flights. Otherwise, customers can also join Airpoints just by filling in a simple form on the Air New Zealand website and paying a low fee of AUD$50. Once you’re an Airpoints member, you’re one step closer to earning Airpoints Dollars and redeeming them for some amazing rewards!

Airpoints Frequent Flyer Rewards

You earn Airpoints Dollars every time you fly with Air New Zealand, partner airlines or do business with Air New Zealand’s non-airline partners. Redeem your Airpoints for travel on Air New Zealand or partner airlines. You can also use Airpoints Dollars on car hire, hotel accommodation or on Koru Lounge membership.

Airpoints Frequent Flyers accrue Status Points which allow progression to a higher tier status, from Silver to Gold then Gold Elite. As Air New Zealand is a member of the Star Alliance network, your Airpoints tier status will be recognised in 133 countries when you travel on Air New Zealand or any Star Alliance airline.

Airpoints Silver Tier Status

To reach the Silver tier status, Airpoints members need to accrue 400 Airpoints Dollars. As an Airpoints Silver member, you are entitled to benefits including lounge and upgrade privileges, priority waitlisting and airport standby as well as discounted long haul Business Class airfares. Airpoints Silver members will also receive the benefits of Star Alliance Silver status when flying on Star Alliance flights.

Airpoints Gold Tier Status

Airpoints Gold tier status is achieved when you reach 800 Airpoints Dollars and includes all the benefits of Airpoints Silver membership, along with increased baggage allowance, priority check-in, boarding and baggage claim. Airpoints Silver members also receive a complimentary hotel accommodation or car hire voucher and don’t need to worry about their Airpoints expiring.

Airpoints Gold Elite Status

Airpoints Gold Elite status requires 1,350 Airpoints Dollars and includes a complimentary Gold Elite membership for a partner, with access to all the benefits of Gold tier status as well as valet parking and an exclusive Gold Elite Gift (upon reaching 2,500 Airpoints Dollars). Airpoints Gold and Gold Elite members will also receive the benefits of Star Alliance Gold status when flying with Star Alliance airlines.
